Terms and conditions of sale
What you are buying, at what price, how you pay and what happens next. They apply to every order placed on this site.
This page is under legal review. The passages highlighted in yellow have not been filled in yet, and the right to cancel is one of them.
1. Who sells, and to whom
The seller is Dis maman, dis papa, whose registered office and registration numbers appear in the legal notice. The buyer is any adult who places an order on this site.
Placing an order means accepting these terms, in the version published online on the day of the order. We keep a record of that version with the order.
2. The products
We sell children’s books, and the objects that go with them. Every product page states the title, the edition, the language, the format and the price.
Choosing an edition is required before adding an item to the basket: the edition determines the copy you will receive. The pictures on the product pages are faithful; a difference in shade between a screen and printed paper is not a defect.
A book may be out of stock. When it is, it cannot be ordered, and we take no deposit for a copy we do not have.
3. Prices
The prices shown on the site are in Tunisian dinars, inclusive of all taxes, excluding delivery charges. Delivery charges are calculated and displayed before payment, never after.
VAT rate applicable to books: to be completed: VAT rate on books, to be confirmed by the accountant.
A price in Swiss francs also appears on some product pages: it applies to the copies sold by our booksellers in Switzerland and is not a conversion of the Tunisian price. The two prices are set separately by the publishing house. Orders placed directly on this site are settled in dinars.
We may change our prices at any time. The price that binds you is the one displayed at the moment you confirm your order.
4. Placing an order
You add items to the basket, you enter the delivery address, you choose a payment method, then you confirm. The order is only recorded at that confirmation.
We then send you a confirmation email carrying the order number. That number is the reference to quote in any exchange with us, and it lets you follow the progress of the order from the site.
We may refuse or cancel an order if the stock has run out, if the address is plainly unusable, or if a payment dispute on a previous order is still unresolved. In that case, any sum already collected is refunded.
5. Payment
The payment methods offered at the time of the order are those actually in service that day. A method that is not configured never appears in the checkout: you cannot choose an option that would then fail.

The amount is recalculated on our server before being passed to the payment provider: an amount altered in the browser is never accepted.
6. Delivery
Online orders are delivered within Tunisia. The zones, the charges, the delivery times and what to do if a parcel arrives damaged are set out in the Delivery and returns page, which forms part of these terms.
Outside Tunisia, our books are sold by the bookshops that stock them. The Find us page lists them, country by country and town by town.
7. Cancellation, exchange and refund

Quite apart from any right to cancel, a book that arrives damaged, incomplete or that does not match your order is taken back and replaced at our expense. Tell us within a few days of receiving it, quoting the order number and attaching a photograph if the parcel is damaged.
8. Complaints and disputes
Write to us first, at to be completed: contact e-mail address. We answer every complaint, and the vast majority are settled that way.
Failing agreement, these terms are governed by Tunisian law and any dispute falls to the competent courts of Tunis.
